I have had THE WORST time with my Novatel Ovation MC760 Mobile Broadband Modem (Virgin Mobile Broadband2Go) not installing its drivers. MANY people have had the same problem (VM Tech Support personnel are polite, but unknowledgeable) and are left with a useless device. I found a blog that provided the correct solution. (I followed the instructions and it worked for me, and many others according to the posts.) Please verify this for Windows users and post in this more visible forum.
Blog: Headworx: http://headworx.slupik.com/2009/06/virgin-mobile-broadband2go.html Follow the instructions in the thread.
Solution was to pull installation files from modem. Novatel Wireless's MC760 driver packages available on their site DO NOT solve the problem. Virgin Mobile offers no product support on its site.
Solution: Original Novatel Ovation MC760-Virgin Mobile Broadband2Go install package on Google Docs kindly provided by Headworx: https://docs.google.com/uc?export=download&confirm=no_antivirus&id=0B9nmw2Nv8RaaYWFhMmU4YjEtOGE5Zi00NjIzLWJhNjctNzI4ZTk5NTFhYzc2
Virgin Mobile Mc760 Usb Drivers License
Remove the USB modem. Uninstall all things Virgin Mobile and Novatel, programs and in the Device control panel; run LiteAuto.exe from the zip file; then plug the USB modem back in. Driver package will auto install.
